Recreation facilities in the City of Llano are now located in three city parks, three school sites and on property managed by the County.  A community park now under development by the City, on Lake Llano and near the Town Square, will contain many amenities.

The following is an inventory of these recreational spaces and facilities:

City of Llano - Recreational facilities are located at Robinson City Park, the Llano Municipal Golf Course, Lion's Little League Field adjacent to the City Hall, a softball field southeast on the perimeter of the City, Moore Recreational Facility and the Badu Park.

Robinson City Park

This park is approximately twenty-one acres in area and has eighteen hundred linear feet of lake frontage. The park entrance is approximately one mile west of the City on F.M.152.  Major features in the park are a 50 by 100 foot swimming pool, a covered pavilion with a stage, a large barbeque pit, basketball goal, restrooms, showers, playground equipment, picnic tables and grills. Within Robinson Park is the Llano County Community Center which can be rented through the Llano Chamber of Commerce. Tent camping permits are available at $1.00 per person per day with check in and permits at the Golf Pro Shop, no reservations taken.

Barney Lee Little League Field -

Located in the northeast section of the City on a 1.6 acre site owned by the District. This lighted field shares a city block with a single-family residence and a vacant lot.  Adjacent to the field are bleachers and a restroom/concession building. The City is placing a play structure on this site for the surrounding neighborhood's use.

Leonard Grenwelge Park -

Grenwelge Park is a Llano County park located on Ford Street and the south bank of the Llano River and is primarily open space adjacent to the River.  An historic marker in the park identifies the importance of granite mining for the County.

The County also has property referred to as the Commons on the north and south sides of the River. Grenwelge Park is located in the South Commons.

The following tabulation indicates the space used in acres of land for active recreational use and the existing types of recreational facilities that are available to the citizens of Llano in these spaces:
