Llano, Texas has much to offer ... small town values, a beautiful yet convenient location, and our progressive outlook toward the future ... all making it a great place to live and do business.

In this section of our website, you will find helpful information about our City Council and other local government bodies as well as the services we provide to our citizens.

Our City offices are located at 301 West Main, and business hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with the exception of some holidays.


The City of Llano has an Aldermanic form of government consisting of a Mayor and Council Members, elected by and responsible to the citizens of Llano, and a City Manager, appointed by and responsible to the City Council for proper administration of the affairs of the City.

The City of Llano, Llano County, Texas is an incorporated Type A General Law City.  An election was held May 31st, 1892 and a majority of votes cast were in favor of incorporation. On June 1st, 1892 with an order incorporating the City of Llano was adopted.

City Council

The City Council of Llano consists of six members: a mayor and five council members elected from the City-at-large. The Mayor and Council serve two (2) year terms. The Llano City Council is the primary body of government for the City of Llano, Click the link to see the members, or contact a representative.

City Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday's of the month in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 301 West Main, Llano, Texas.

City Services

City Services include the Llano Collection Station, Parks & Recreation, the Historic Llano Cemetery, Llano Police Department, the Llano Airport, and the Municipal Court System.
