Thank you for your consideration to offer your service to the citizens of Llano by completing an application to be considered for a pending vacancy on the City Council. Your volunteerism will entail the obligation to comply with certain applicable state statutes and local ordinances. This City Council appointment will fill a one-year unexpired term being vacated by Alderwoman Lang.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS WISHING TO BE APPOINTED:
Must be a United States citizen.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be a registered voter on the date of the election.
Have been a continuous resident of the State of Texas for one (1) year and a resident of the City of Llano for six (6) months
Have not been determined mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court.
Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which you have not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities.
Must satisfy any other eligibility requirements prescribed by law.
The City Secretary's Office is accepting applications for appointment to the City Council to fill an unexpired term until May, 2018 . Applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Monday, May 8.
The City Council will consider the applications at the May 15 City Council Meeting. The successful applicant will serve until the May 2018 General Election.
